My Tasks: Research, UX-Design, User-Testing, Prototyping
I designed a user interface (UI) for CURT, an autonomous farming robot, aimed at
simplifying
interaction for farmers with medium to large farms. My challenge was navigating this specialized
field with limited prior knowledge. I began by conducting on-site interviews with farmers
and
their staff to understand crop seeding, watering, and harvesting processes.
This research
informed initial UI sketches, and a low-fidelity prototype built using Marvel. After several
rounds of user testing and leveraging Marvel Heatmaps for feedback analysis, I
refined the prototype. Focusing on a premium aesthetic, I selected fonts, colors, and imagery.
Using Figma, I then developed design elements based on atomic design principles and
assembled
them into screens. The final, high-fidelity prototype was created in ProtoPie.
