This project, a wedding invitation video for myself and my fiancé, is very important to
me. We envisioned a memorable video summarizing the key moments in our relationship.
Starting with a basic concept, I developed a storyboard and a mood board featuring artists whose work resonated with the emotions we wanted to convey. Next, I explored fonts, colors, and preliminary illustrations in Adobe Illustrator, aiming for a positive, warm, and relatable design and animation style.
The Process
The character design evolved from geometric shape studies to finalized characters. I then designed individual scenes, considering transitions, and assembled a preliminary cut with a draft soundtrack to establish timing.
The animation was created in After Effects, using the Limber plugin for character animation. Finally, I completed the video with sound design, incorporating music and sound effects.
